Events
At Box Hill Public School, we believe school should be more than lessons in the classroom, it should be filled with memorable moments that bring learning to life. Our school events build confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging for every student, while giving families the chance to share in the joy of school life.
In our very first year, we have already celebrated so many exciting milestones! From our Foundation Day, Colour Run and Diwali celebrations to Book Week, 100 Days of Kindergarten, and excursions to Longneck Lagoon and Calmsley Hill City Farm, there has been something for everyone to enjoy.
We have also hosted whole-school assemblies, Kindergarten Orientation sessions, and we will finish the year with our Celebration of Learning.
Sport has been another highlight. Our inaugural Athletics Carnivals for Years 2-6 and K-2 were a huge success. In 2026 we will be adding our very own Cross Country and Swimming Carnivals to the calendar.
As our school continues to grow, so too will our range of events, giving students more opportunities to explore, create, perform, and shine.
Stay tuned on our school Facebook page for updates on our upcoming events and celebrations. There is always something happening at Box Hill Public School!

Our Grand Opening
Our official grand opening was a proud and memorable moment for the Box Hill Public School community. The ceremony began with a traditional Smoking Ceremony to honour and acknowledge the Dharug people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school stands. Students, staff, families and special guests came together to celebrate the beginning of our school’s story — a place built on respect, connection and shared hope for the future.
Book Week
Everyone joined in the costume fun for Book Week, bringing our favourite characters to life in a colourful celebration of stories and imagination. Students and staff shared their love of reading through parades, activities and plenty of laughter. It was a joyful reminder that books have the power to inspire, connect and spark creativity in every learner.
Diwali
Our school community came together to celebrate Diwali — the Festival of Lights. Students learned about the traditions and meanings behind this special celebration, sharing stories, colours and joy throughout the day. The classrooms sparkled with creativity as we celebrated light, hope and the power of kindness to brighten the world around us.
Mini Athletics Carnival
Our Kindergarten to Year 2 students enjoyed their very own mini athletics carnival, filled with energy, excitement and plenty of smiles. Through fun games and modified events, students developed their coordination, teamwork and athletic skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. It was a wonderful day of participation, perseverance and school spirit!
